The run is an important event that brings awareness to human rights and amnesty. It is a healthy and fun way for people to connect and fight for what they believe.

MARATHON HISTORY

The run was started 25 years ago in 1993. It was created in hope for change in amnesty as well as bringing people together.

After the race there will a fair with stations from our sponsors, it will include games and food and also a ferris wheel. 

There will be a music festival startinf at 7 from 4 local bands. The festival will go till 11 and will have an amnesty theme. 

The award ceremony will start at 5. It will annouce the best 3 male competiors, best three female competitors and also the overall top 3.

BEFORE THE RUN

The run is 26.2 miles through Manhattan, starting at 11 am. There will be water stands at every mile as well as bathrooms.

The run will end at a different point in Manhattan. There will be food near the finish line. And times will be announce once everyone is done. 

We ask that you meet at the start line half an hour before, so that you are able to get your tags and warm up. There will also be coffee near the start. 

Fair


Enjoy stations and activities from our sponsors and supporters. There will be lots of food and drinks as well as games and a ferris wheel. 

Music Festival


After the run and award ceremony, stay to enjoy our live band performances from 4 famous local bands. The performance starts at 7 and ends at 11. A nice way to have fun after a long race and to enjoy yourself!


Marathon 


Run our marathon in support for Amnesty and to raise awareness for human rights. Its our 25th annual run, starting at 11am Saturday, July 28th. People from all around New York and Manhattan join to run our marathon.
